With a Master’s in Biblical Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary, others often ask me, ‘What is Biblical counseling all about?’
Licensed professional counselors (LPC’s) with the MABC credential are seminary-trained therapists not unlike secular counselors – we listen, observe, and use proven methods to help you reach your goals and find the answers you need. However, there are two important differences. First, our guidance will always align with the teachings of the Bible, without exception. Second, as Biblical counselors, we have extensively studied all 66 books of the Bible under seminary scholars, allowing us to offer God’s unique perspective alongside effective psychological methods. As the Bible says, ‘All scripture is God-breathed, and is beneficial for teaching, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness’ (2 Tim 3:16).
